Samantha Katz
Background and Experience at AIMS
Samantha Katz’s journey into healthcare was fueled by a strong desire to help people during their most vulnerable moments. From a young age, she felt called to the medical field—not only because of her fascination with medicine and imaging technology, but also because of the opportunity to make a human connection. “I feel so very passionate about being there for people on some of the worst days of their lives,” she says.
When Samantha enrolled in the MRI Technologist program at AIMS Education, she wasn’t entirely certain if MRI was the right fit. But everything changed once she started her clinical internship. “That’s when I said to myself, ‘I can see this being my future.’” The blend of patient care and technical skill turned out to be exactly what she was looking for.
Her time at AIMS helped build the confidence she needed to succeed. “I was never the best student, but AIMS gave me so much confidence in myself and what I’m capable of accomplishing,” she reflects. The support and guidance from her instructors played a pivotal role in her personal and professional growth.
Success After Graduation
Samantha’s hard work and dedication paid off quickly. On the same day she passed the ARMRIT registry exam, she was offered a job at her clinical site—Old Bridge Medical Center. “Talk about a good day!” she recalls. She now works alongside the very MRI techs who trained her and continues to learn from their experience and support.
Samantha thrives in the fast-paced hospital environment and embraces the continuous learning that comes with being an MRI Technologist. “Even the most experienced techs say the learning is never finished,” she says. “I’m looking forward to seeing more, doing more, and learning more every day.”
