CVT Students Visit Linda Grunin Simulation Lab
On April 9, 2025, Cardiovascular Technology students from AIMS Education College of Health Sciences had the opportunity to participate in an immersive and interactive simulation experience at the Linda Grunin Simulation Lab and Learning Center in West Long Branch, NJ. The session, held from 12:30 to 3:30 PM, offered students a unique opportunity to refine their echocardiography skills in a real-world, high-tech environment.
Led by Ekta Patel, Lead Echocardiographer at Monmouth Medical Center, the simulation session allowed students to engage in hands-on echocardiography training using state-of-the-art simulation technology. Patel praised the students for their talent and enthusiasm, and provided personalized instruction and guidance throughout the session.

In addition to the echocardiography training, the students toured the 7,000-square-foot simulation lab—part of a joint partnership between Monmouth University and Monmouth Medical Center—guided by Billie McNally, Office Coordinator for the Simulation Lab.
The tour introduced students to a range of specialty simulation suites, including intensive care, pediatrics, maternity, and surgical settings. The lab’s advanced technology and realistic scenarios gave students a broader view of interdisciplinary healthcare training.

Special thanks were extended to Billie McNally and Dr. Violet Kramer, Medical Director for the Simulation Lab, for their support and hospitality. AIMS Education also acknowledges its dedicated faculty and clinical coordinators who help facilitate these enriching learning opportunities.
