AIMS Education Exhibits at "Heart of the Matter" Echocardiography Symposium

AIMS Education proudly participated as an exhibitor at the recent "Heart of the Matter: Case-Based and Hands-On Experience for the Echo Lab Team" symposium held on October 19, 2024, at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ.
This event, hosted by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, provided a platform for healthcare professionals to enhance their echocardiographic skills through case-based learning and hands-on workshops. AIMS representatives included Jonathan Lopez, Admissions Director; Karian Katz, Clinical Internship Coordinator; Chirag Patel, Dean of Academics & Student Success; and Kalpana Mahatpure, Program Director for the Cardiovascular Technology and Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography programs.
AIMS Education’s presence was strengthened by the participation of its students and graduates who attended the event, further highlighting the close relationship between the college and RWJBarnabas Health.
Professor Kalpana Mahatpure, who also attended as a participant, emphasized the importance of such events in advancing students' knowledge in cardiovascular imaging. Chirag Patel shared his gratitude towards Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health for their continued affiliation with AIMS, by stating, “It was wonderful to see so many of our students and graduates in attendance. Our Cardiovascular Technology and Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography students have the incredible opportunity to work in the Echo labs at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital during their clinical rotations.”
The event underscored AIMS Education's commitment to providing top-tier educational opportunities and real-world experiences to its students. The college's ongoing collaboration with Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health continues to offer students hands-on training in echocardiography, a critical skill in the fight against cardiovascular disease. By attending this symposium, AIMS students and graduates were able to gain new insights into advanced imaging techniques, further preparing them for successful careers in the healthcare industry.
