MRI Students Visit Jersey Shore University Medical Center

Students from AIMS Education's Associate of Applied Science in MRI Technology program recently visited HMH Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ, as part of their “Introduction to Imaging Technology” course.
The field trip, held on September 30, 2024, provided students with a firsthand look at the hospital’s radiology department. Led by Outpatient Imaging Supervisor Patrique Larco and Radiology Supervisor Isaak Miroshenko, students gained valuable insights into various radiology modalities and MRI safety protocols. The welcoming staff made the experience memorable, helping students build foundational knowledge in imaging technology.
Nineteen students participated in the trip, along with general education faculty member Dr. Janki Parekh and Dean of Academics and Student Success Chirag Patel. This visit is part of a broader collaboration with HMH Jersey Shore University Medical Center, which provides clinical internship opportunities for AIMS Education students in programs such as Diagnostic Medical Sonography, MRI Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, and Neurodiagnostic Technology. These hands-on experiences at the hospital’s teaching facility equip students with essential skills and knowledge for their future careers in medical imaging.
